On Saturday, a group of MLA students and Dr. Margaret Livingston participated in National Public Lands Day, and removed invasive species south of the Rillito Wash. We worked on a small area along N. Columbus Blvd., and concentrated on pulling out the the bufflegrass, bermuda grass and pigweed -- and filled three large garbage bags. We hope to make this a regular event so we can continue to make an impact in preserving our natural lands.
